Search Gainers:

Search activity for New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer has jumped 200 percent over the past 24 hours since revelations of Spitzer's involvement with a prostitution ring known as the Emperors Club surfaced earlier this week.  Spitzer resigned today, and Lt. Gov. David Paterson, who will become the first black governor in the state, will be sworn in to replace Spitzer.  Meanwhile, presidential hopeful Sen. Barack Obama continues to lead all other political search queries, jumping 100 percent over the past week, generating 33 percent more search activity than rival Democratic presidential hopeful Sen. Hillary Clinton, with Republican presidential candidate Sen. John McCain running a distant third in search popularity behind Obama and Clinton.  From the world of entertainment, the gossip mill helps propel actress Jessica Biel up 222 percent in search activity, due in part to rumors that boyfriend Justin Timberlake is ready to propose.  Timberlake also sees his searches spike following rumors of pleas from Britney Spears' father Jamie, asking Timberlake to join Britney on a new music tour.  Timberlake reportedly passed on the offer and is busy producing an NBC television pilot about a bachelor who strikes out with the ladies. "My Problem with Women" follows 30-something Jose as he attempts to understand his romantic failures through therapy sessions.  And searches for controversial Eminem double this week amidst rumors the rap-star is being sued for unpaid royalties.  According to TMZ.com, a lawsuit filed by FBT Productions and Em2m claims Eminem's label, Aftermath, and its parent Interscope, owe them more than $1 million in unpaid royalties, damages and fees.
